- Hello, I am answering a bit late but facing the same problem in 2024 I found these discussions, tried the proposed solutions and could not recover my file. However, I was able to retrive my data by opening the file in Notepad ! I don't know if this works for files with several tabs, but it worked for my simple excel sheet.
