Excel Autofill Names
How do I to auto fill a name to a certain number of lines a column in excel?

In Excel, if you want to auto-fill a name down a column for a certain number of lines, you can use the fill handle. Here's a step-by-step guide:
- Enter the Name:
- Type the name in the first cell of the column where you want to start the list.
- Select the Cell:
- Click on the cell with the name to select it.
- Hover Over the Fill Handle:
- Move your cursor to the bottom-right corner of the selected cell. You will see a small square called the "fill handle."
- Drag Down:
- Click and drag the fill handle down to the desired number of lines. As you drag, Excel will automatically fill the cells with the same name.
- Release the Mouse Button:
- Once you've dragged to the desired number of lines, release the mouse button.
This method is efficient for quickly populating a column with a repeated value. The fill handle is a powerful tool in Excel for extending or copying data.
Note: If you want to fill a sequence of names, you can also use a series by typing the starting name, dragging the fill handle, and selecting "Fill Series" from the context menu.
