excel added column number from previous save

Thanks for your speedy reply I followed your tips and the r1c1 option was unchecked, would checking it perhaps resolve my issue or what other ideas you may have for me to try...?
R1C1 is not the issue here.
The data was tabled and the option for 'my table has headers' was unchecked. When this happens, Excel will add a 'dummy header' - Column1, Column2, Column3, etc.
One of the benefits of a tabling a range it it also freezes panes for you. When you scroll vertically, it shows your header instead of the letter markers.
To resolve, go to Table Design | Convert to range. You can then clear the dummy header and re-table the correct range, if needed.
