To summarise the most likely explanation for what you saw:
Auto‑Flash Fill re‑triggered repeatedly as you typed, reapplying a changing pattern to the entire column in your structured table. A UI rendering glitch made the preview text appear outside the active cell (e.g., below it). Pressing Enter each time caused retroactive changes to earlier rows, and Undo did not fully revert because Flash Fill operations can be grouped incompletely. Clicking the Flash Fill button twice reset the auto‑trigger state.
