Excel - import data - must install internet explorer 9 or above
Hello! Whenever I want to import data (from txt, web,.. ) to an Excel spreadsheet I get a pop-up message saying I need to install Internet Explorer 9 or above to do that. I am using Office 3...
Perhaps you don't use it, but parts of Office apparently do. Did you remove IE from your computer by any chance? I guess you need to put it back to use this functionality. However annoying that is.
By the way, is it possible to remove IE without crashing the system?
- If you google for it there are many instructions how to do it, so I expect you can.
IMHO, we may disable it as Windows feature (i.e. it won't be available in UI), but not remove at all.
