Excel - hyperlinks
In a single workbook I have 12 monthly accounts payable worksheets. Each monthly sheet has identical fields/data/layout/format. At the top any each sheet, I have about 10 hyperlinks ... linking me to specific sections of the sheet. Problem: when I have completed a given sheet, say June for example, I copy the June sheet to a new tab (which will become July) - I do this so that I don't have to redraw the standard sheet layout over again (and again for each of 12 monthly tabs/sheets). BUT - while the sheet layout, fields, formulas, formats, colors (foreground, background), spacing, etc. copies to the new next month's sheet, the hyperlinks do not. Formats are identical, but on the copied sheet, each hyperlink takes me to an incorrect location (i.e. a location close to but different than the location the same hyperlink goes to on the copy from sheet. Example: on June sheet, hyperlink "Taxes" links and goes to position A63 where cells exist for entry of taxes. But when June worksheet is copied to new (July) sheet, while execution of the same "Taxes" hyperlink takes me to A63, but this is no longer where the tax entry cells are located. They may be close, but not the same. I am thus required each month to edit each and every copied hyperlink to account for the changed location of the target place intended.
QUESTIONS: (1) Why do copied locations move around such that copied hyperlinks do not take me to the same location on the copied sheet as on the copied from sheet? Why don't copied hyperlinks automatically adjust?
(2) What can I do to get a true identical copy from sheet1 to sheet2 insofar as copied hyperlinks are concerned?
