Excel - Data from Text
When I import from a text file - DATA FROM TEXT/CVS, for some reason the numbers are not as numbers, so when I enter "auto sum" at the bottom, it's not adding the numbers I need it to. How do I fix the numbers without re-typing all of them?

Select your column, then go to Data, Text to Columns. Hit Next three times & select 'General', then Finish. Right click the still selected column & format the column to the Number format you want.
Rusty Dane While waiting for a reply I just found that "opening" the text file in excel instead of importing it leaves the number(s) intact and works like the prior versions of excel used to work.
