Everything opens as "Read only" when opening from the in app Home or Recent section.

Oops I forgot to include a step.
Finder>Go> THEN hold down Option and Library will appear.

Rubes_SIA Hi Ruby, hello from Paris,
Many thanks for taking the time to reply. It's fixed the issue when opening from inside Teams but it's still bugging out when I open anything from the in-app recent list. But its a win for me.

Hello - I'd like to give an update. I thought I had resolved this issue, but it came back. I recently uninstalled Teams from my computer and then reinstalled it. Now I can open files directly from Teams and they all open normally – I no longer have the Read-Only issue.

Moved that to the desktop.
Restarted Excel.
File opens ok from "Recent..." or Finder a couple of times, then back to same "Read only mode"...
