Errors with comments

I have been having issues with comments I post on an entry in my excel spreadsheet.  When I try to do another comment it says there is already one in progress.  I save the spreadsheet and try to exit and it says there is a comment that hasn't been posted.  Do you want to return to it so you can post it?  I say yes and it takes me to a field but I still can't modify the comment so I delete the comment and readd it but it continues to be an issue that it doesn't like my comments or save them.  How can this be resolved?  thanks!

I've just had the same problem, RBurgett6800. Try these steps:

    1. Go to the Review tab on the Ribbon.
    2. Click Comments, then select New Comment.
Excel will immediately take you to the unfinished threaded comment, even if it’s on a different sheet.

This method works because Excel assumes you want to continue editing the in-progress comment. Once you find it, you can complete, delete, or cancel the comment as needed.

RBurgett6800 , when I added the comment, I exited out of the window and it applied the comment to cell. I had to come back to it and press the >> button to post it. I then came back and edited the comment. I exited out of the window, and my edit was saved in the cell. But I had to come back to the comment and press the check button. The behavior of exiting the window and giving the impression you are done is a little confusing. There is still that extra step of posting.

I always do click the button and post the comment but this error continues to occur after posting.

I have been having exactly the issue that you describe; very frustrating.
