Enable editing

I would like to prevent Enable editing from popping up for and excel file sent over the internet.

I have enabled macro setting in the trust center but the enable editing option continues to popup.

How can I adjust the settings, so the file simply opens without intervention?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Two very different warnings.  I believe you are talking about:

You can avoid the warning by deselecting (uncheckmarking) the circled option below.

The appearance of this option and how you find it might vary with the version of Excel.

In my version, I click File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View.

PS....  As much a nuisance as these warnings are, they are there for our protection.

My personal preference is not to disable this option.

Instead, when I am satisfied that a downloaded Excel is safe, I use Windows Explorer (i.e. open the folder) to right-click the file and click Properties.  Then I click Unblock, then OK.
