Duplicate Personal.xlsb workbooks
Hello there
I have just bought a new computer on which Office 2019 is installed.
To get the same macro functions I previously had, I copied my Personal.xlsb file to the correct XLSTART folder.
When I try to use one of my simple macros, I get the message "Excel cannot open workbooks with the same name at the same time".
I have referred to the Microsoft on-line resources about this issue but have not be able to fix this problem.
My prior case numbers on this matter are 1000367989 and 1000368954.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
A mate has just helped me to fix the above issue.
The icons to my macros on my Quick Access Toolbar were somehow no longer linked to the Personal.xlsb workbook copied to my new computer. However, the macros in the copied Personal file were accessible from my new Excel programme (Office 2019).
Therefore, we simply deleted the old macro icons and linked each of my macros to new icons on my Quick Access Toolbar.Done. Fixed!

- Hello Mark,
May I know the initial version of Excel you used to create the macro before you bought a new computer with Microsoft office 2019 version pre-installed?- Mark_TylerCopper Contributor
Certainly. I believe it was 2013 but it may have been as early as 2007 for some of the macros.
The 2016 Personal file worked without issue.
