Drop Down Value (Fill colour)
Hi, I want to set up a drop down list that will fill the cell with a choice of colours - instead of text. Is that possible?
The drop-down itself cannot display the colours, only their names.
But you can use Conditional Formatting rules to display the selected colour in the cell.
See the attached demo.
(The number format of the cells with the drop-downs has been set to the custom format ;;; (three consecutive semicolons). This hides the cell contents, leaving only the fill colour.
