Disappearing Waterfall Chart

Once I hide the source data, the waterfall chart disappear and the option of hidden and empty velds button under select data tab is not open for use. Any help around this?

    Can you share more detail? I have worked on variety of Waterfall chart. On providing more details like sample data or any relevant image will help a lot to provide the solution.
