Digital Signatures stop formulas being visible

I have started using electronic signatures for securing documents, however when the signature has been applied, the formula bar no longer shows the formula. I haven't seen any option to set this as the default behaviour. Is there any way to allow formulas to be visible? I don;t want other users to edit them, just view where the number in the cell came from.
