Default Theme Not Working with Move or Copy
When using Move Or Copy, the default theme saved to my local system is not applying. I went through the process of creating a custom theme and saving as an XLTX template, and saving to the XLSTART folder. Creating a blank excel file using the desktop/menu icon uses this theme as it should, as well as using the CTRL+N shortcut with an excel file already open.
However, when using Move or Copy in an excel file the theme ALWAYS defaults to the "Office" theme. Obviously, this is very problematic as 1. The custom theme function is not working as intended and official Microsoft documentation is not correct at this time, and 2. This issue will interfere with color/font dependent macros, or other documents that must have consistent themes applied. I have seen other forums discuss this exact issue but have seen no resolutions.
I am not exactly looking for a solution - I am more looking to make Microsoft aware of this issue as I am 99.99% sure it is a MS Office bug/flaw that needs to be corrected.
bradbeliveau I suggest that you:
- Copy the text of your message
- Open Excel
- Take the steps that lead to the problem (use an unimportant sheet with no sensitive info, but which clearly shows the theme issue)
- Click Help, Feedback, I don't like something and paste your message in the box and allow a screen-shot.
- The more information you provide, the better.
