Default Font in Excel
I have my Default Font as Arial (12) in Excel. I want this set for ALL cells. However, anything viewed as a web address or email automatically defaults to Calibri (11) as a Hyperlink. Is it possible ...

Open a blank, one-sheet workbook. Click the styles gallery and right-click the Hyperlink style (if it isn't there, insert a hyperlink in a cell) and choose Modify. Now change the font to your liking.
Remove everything you don't like.
Set any other features you prefer, such as headers and footers, gridline display, etcetera.
Save as the workbook using this name (file type Excel template *.xltx):
book.xltx
and save it in this location (type in save-as box and press enter):
%appdata%\microsoft\excel\xlstart

- JMMed55Dec 05, 2023Copper ContributorThanks, it did default to my preferred Font and Font size, but it still creates a hyperlink, and changes the Font Color. I don't want to create ANY Hyperlinks, and stay the same Font Color and when I populated the cell
- JKPieterseDec 05, 2023Silver ContributorYes, when you insert a hyperlink, Excel changes the cell style to Hyperlink. There is nothing you can do against that I'm afraid.
I don't recommend to remove the underline, it makes it clear there is a link there.- JMMed55Dec 05, 2023Copper Contributor
OK, thanks. Appreciate your trying to help me with this. I can live with it. Was just hoping there was a way.
