Default Cell Orientation
Hi all,
By Excel text orientation is General Bottom. That is when tet is wrapped it goes to the left and bottom of the cell.
I prefer mine to be General Top. How can I make this the default so that I do not have to do it every time?

- Bill BensonCopper ContributorFind Book.xlt in one of these folders
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICEx\XLSTART
Then edit the Noreal Style to control that orientation and resave it. I believe from then on that will be your default. - Alind ApoorvaCopper ContributorBefore doing any entering of value in the cells, first of all, select all cells, go to Format Cells -
Alignment -
Horizontal -Select Left
Vertical - Select Top.
Do OK.
Now start inputting value. Your default wrap will now should be Top Left.- Edmund JonesCopper Contributor
I do that - every day, many times a day.
What I am asking is, how can I make that orientation the default when I start Excel?

Hi Edmund,
You need to creat new default template, the idea how to do is, for example, here https://excelribbon.tips.net/T012057_Creating_Default_Formatting_for_Workbooks_and_Worksheets.html
