Date not formatting correctly
I would like the date to auto format to xx/xx/xxxx on the right side of the column. However, the first 2 cells, A6 & A7, did it correctly, however A8, A9 and A10 are just showing what I have typed and it's over on the left side. Even when I try to change it the long way using the 'format number' 'date' it won't change to how I want it.
In the attached file you can see the formulae in the 2nd work sheet.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

At a guess, you have accidentally added those dates as text, which it why they are on the left hand side and wont obey formatting rules. Did you paste the dates in from something else?
Try this, if you click into A9, then the formula bar. Then just press enter. It should convert it to a number again for you.
Other options depending on the version of excel you are using.. if you click the date you might get a little warning button pop up that asks if you want to convert 'text date to 20xx date', just say you do. Or delete the three dates all together, highlight those cells, make sure they are set to general in the formatting options and then put the dates back in..
failing all of that. i've uploaded it with the dates fixed.
