Database query value does not appear in formula bar like others
Your posting here at techcommunity has had (as I write this) 60 views and no replies. I think it's reasonable to assume that it's because you've overwhelmed everybody with not enough information but a lot of static [is that long string of text at the end of your post the content you get back from the query? I assume so]
Anyway, some questions for you: what kind of database query is this? What's different about those queries that DO work? Or the records of the queries that do work? If we're going to find the cause of this apparent discrepancy, we need to be looking for distinctions of kind in various aspects of the database, its records, the fields that you're using to retrieve the records, etc.
When you say you "have a database query with just a few fields" are you saying that there are:
- just a few fields being used as criteria?
- just a few fields in each record?
- just a few records?
- something else?
Have you had similar queries from similar databases in the past (perhaps even prior instances of the same database, just earlier versions) where you did not experience this anomaly? What is different this time?
Those are just for starters: if there's anything else you can say that might help get a more complete picture? One last question: is it at all possible for you to post a copy of the actual spreadsheet/workbook? Images are frankly of limited utility in the diagnostic process.
