Data Validation
I have created a fairly large IF formula as a source for Data Validation. I want to copy and paste that formula into the source in Data Validation. Any ideas on how I can do this?
Select the cell with the formula.
Select the formula in the formula bar and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
Select the cell or cells for the Data Validation rule.
On the Data tab of the ribbon, click Data Validation.
Select List from the Allow drop down.
Click in the Source box.
Press Ctrl+V to paste the formula.
Set up an input message and error alert if you wish.
Click OK.
- Thanks. It will not allow the CTRL V function.
That is weird - it's the way I always do it...
