Data refresh and column width
Hi people,
Can anyone explain me, confirm this or find a reason why this happend
I have one PowerQuery report (energy consumption) I track quite frequently. The first column is the timestamp column with format "dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm" and this colum is enough wide to show. During refresh - all columns (including the first one) retain the width
BEcouse this first column is important for browsing the table (yes - sometime I'd like to browse actual data - drill through) I decided to freeze the 1st column, but now - what happend - refresh changes the column width to smaller than expected. I change again width to enough - refresh changing again
Actually I find workaround - I extending query, adding duplicate for the timestamp column and reordeing just added column to be the 1st, after hidding the original column the table looks like previous but the 1st column has longer title (initial title "Algus" - start; changed title "Pika nimega veerg, et mahuks" - long name to fit better). No refresh don't change column width any more.
But this behavior looks like stupid - why excel need to change freezed column width?
PS! When someone ask me why not simply rename the key column - becouse I'm a lazy man, better change the query rather than change all my pivots based on that query
