data form
Please advise if a drop-down box can be added to the data form view, not the excel table but the data form view.
Alternatively, how may I have the entry cells of the data form populated with drop down options please?

What exactly do you mean by "data form view"?
The form view of the table you are working on, when in a table which is set up as a form you select form and are permitted to enter all the details per row of your table.
It is this view I am referring to the view you have directly after pressing the form icon button.
Sadly, Microsoft hasn't upgraded the Data Form in ages, and it doesn't provide drop-downs.
Former Excel MVP John Walkenbach developed an enhanced data form with drop-downs. His website doesn't exist anymore, but I have attached the add-in to this reply.
