Customize Ribbon - can't rename items

I am trying to customize the Ribbon, but I can not rename the items from groups. I can rename the tabs and groups, but not the items inside.

I have attached a photo so you can see that the "Rename" button is grayed-out when trying to rename the items.

      However, I have this Excel plugin: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/wa200001772?tab=overviewand I have seen in their demos that they renamed the items, especially those from Favorites - have a look at the screenshot please.

        Sorry, I'm missed. The question was about Customize Ribbon option which works only on desktop apps. Perhaps on desktop you may rename items using VBA programming, I'm not sure, but that's another question.
