creating link to WhatsApp web with phone number

Hi there,

I have an Excel file with many phone numbers in this format: +1 123-456-7890
I want to create a link to WhatsApp so it means that I need to add this before: https://wa.me/
The problem is that the link with space and hyphens is not valid and the browser doesn't direct me to the page.
For example, WhatsApp doesn't recognize this link: https://wa.me/+1 123-456-7890.
While this link is OK and directs me to the conversation on WhatsApp web: https://wa.me/+11234567890

I wish to find a solution to build the right format and create the link for the thousands of numbers I have.
