Creating a formula for excel

Hi,

I am a beginner with excel and can only do the basic functions on a spreadsheet.  I am also not familiar with most of the function terminology so forgive me if I ask you to try to keep it simple.  

I have an excel spreadsheet with multiple columns and rows.  This is an example of what I'm hoping to do.

Column C has a $ amount in it that I want to multiply by 2.9% then add $.30 and put the final $ amount in column G.

If anyone can help me with that, I would be so grateful!  Thank you in advance.
