Create Macro to auto "hide" Show Changes

I'm wanting to automatically hide the side bar that appears when you "Show Changes". It doesn't seem there is a way to just turn this button off, so I'm thinking a macro should work. Can I get some assistance?

Secondarily, is there way to keep people from accessing File > Info > Version History?
