Create a graph with dates on one axis and text on the other

Hi,

 

I would like to create a scattered graph in which dates are displayed in the X axis and a names are displayed on the Y axis. So that I can see when there is a bigger concentration of the names throughout the time. I think a scattered graph is the best.

I am using excel for MSO 365 32 bit version 2102.

These is the data:

 

Dates for the x axis

2023-02-15

2023-05-03

2024-08-20

2024-08-30

2025-11-09

2025-12-15

2026-02-17

2026-03-20

 

Brands for the y-axis
LAND-ROVER
SKODA
PEUGEOT
MERCEDEZ
BMW
KIA
MITSUBISHI
VW

    An XY Scatter chart must use numeric values for both the x-axis and the y-axis. It cannot use text values for either of the axes.

    If you provide more detailed information, preferably also attaching a sample workbook, we might be able to come up with a suggestion.

      I could not attach a file, but this the table

      And I would like a plot in which it shows when is the brand last available.

      But I guess it is not possible then, since I cannot use text values for an XY Scatter chart. Thank you in any case!
