Countifs function fails

Impossible to tell without seeing the workbook...
Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
Thanks so much for you message. I was able to locate the problem. I had added a line to the bottom of the document and messed up the calculation probably by only adding cells and not an entire row so the formula was seeing the inconsistency between number of lines in the columns. So user error as expected! HansVogelaar
