Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't tried that - COUNTIF is quite new to me so I'm not sure what the entire formula should be.
Let's say that the data in the first column are in A2:A200.
In B2:
=COUNTIF(A2:A200, A2:A200)
This will spill to B200.
