What do you mean by Buchanon combined? What problem are you facing to use COUNTIF() function? Can you please share a sample file via one-drive or google-drive and then show your desired output?

The simplest way to arrive at those totals is to take advantage of one the newest functions available in a fully updated Excel 365 - GROUPBY.
