Count # of times item appears in Column
Have a list of 195 ID's in Column A. what formula would i use to count number of times an entry begins with "TC"
Use
=COUNTIF(A1:A195, "TC*")
The * is a so-called wildcard character; it stands for 'any number of characters, including none'.
