correlation coefficient of the two data sets

I am trying to calculate the correlation coefficient of the two data sets with excel then I use the two sets to plot a scatter graph, however the value calculated by excellence is different from the value plotted on the graph. Any Idea why this is happening?

yomna The default correlation measure shown in scatter charts is the R-squared, which is the correlation coefficient squared, so it wouldn't tie up if that's what you're seeing.

Otherwise, a picture of your data / chart or, even better, an upload of your workbook would be very helpful in identifying the issue.
