Copy/paste no longer working in Excel
- I’d recommend that everyone having thus issue goes to File > Feedback and send a frown, putting your details in the section and start it [Can’t Copy Paste]
Also what version is everyone in who’s having this problem ? File > Account
It will read something like

OK, guys none of these fixes worked for me. This just started for me today. In too different instances. When I copy the formula into another cell from another spreadsheet, the formula shows, but the result in the result from the cell I copied it from. he only that has worked is by going to insert function in each cell to "activate" the formula. I can't do this for hundreds of rows. How did I break Excel and what can I do to fix it?

Wyn Hopkins In my opinion when i had this problem today, copying and pasting from between Excel and UltraStudios text editor for example, to resolve this in Excel I clicked the small Clipboard button
Thats the tiny grey button bottom right corner of the image above in the Home ribbon bar "Clipboard"
Any then on the bottom left corner of Excel
Make sure its set with "Show Office Clipboard Automatically" checked and "Collect Without Showing Office Clipboard" and then it began to behave properly, copying and pasting in and out of excel, no more issues.

Thank you for looking at this Joseph. I do have that selected. Here is an example of 11 lines of one column I tried to cut-and paste. The message I get in the lower right corner is could not be copied to the clip board because it is too much data. However these selects from paint are fitting in the clipboard just fine. I can cut and paste from every other app including the powershell command line, but not excel.
Just trying to copy a blank cell I get this. It is maddening. My clip board has nothing in it, except the bit of screen shot to show you the Clipboard Item not collected. I've rebooted.
Sent the file to a co-worker and they can cut and paste. This is office Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016. The document was created by me and is not protected. Safe mode does not help. I would like to submit a frown but in file I have no feedback option.

Feedback might be under File (then down the bottom left corner)- Correct, none of the methods work ctrl-c or right click, select copy. I can paste into excel, I just cannot pull anything out. Other apps are having no trouble. What might be different is I run a few powershell scripts that create excel files with out the application. I had to add a couple directories to my machine for this to work. I copy these excel files to a folder that is linked to a teams folder so that others can see the data. I've been doing this for a couple years, the cut an paste thing just started. Unless my task bar is blocking it on the left when I hit file I have the following. Info New Open Save Save As Print Share Export Close Account Options
