Copying an excel file after forgetting the password
I just copied a file from another client who was a client of the former company I sold. I want to use it in the new company I now have but it is password protected. And of course, I do not have nor can I find the password. Is there a way to copy the formatting without the formulas and delete the entries in the cells?
If you want to copy the formatting of an Excel file without the formulas and delete the cell entries, you can use the "Paste Special" feature in Excel.
Here is how you can do it:
- Open the password-protected Excel file.
- Select the range of cells that you want to copy the formatting from.
