copy and paste issue

Hi , may i know is it possible to remove the double row issue in my excel?

I've created an excel sheet, used filter and format painter but when I copy and paste the text in notepad, it became double row as attached. I used filter and formulae for row 36 and 37 as i want both row to be seen when I filter. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thank you in advance

It is possible to remove the double row issue in Excel and ensure that the copied text remains in a single row when pasted into Notepad or any other text editor. The double row issue typically occurs when you have merged cells or hidden rows.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

    1. Unmerge cells: If you have merged cells within the range you are copying, unmerge them. Select the merged cells, right-click, choose "Format Cells," go to the "Alignment" tab, and click on the "Merge cells" checkbox to unmerge them. Repeat this for any other merged cells in your worksheet.
    2. Unhide rows: If you have hidden rows within the range you are copying, unhide them. Select the rows surrounding the hidden rows, right-click, and choose "Unhide" to make the hidden rows visible again. Repeat this for any other hidden rows in your worksheet.
    3. Copy the data: Select the range of cells containing the data you want to copy, right-click, and choose "Copy" or press Ctrl+C.
    4. Paste as values: Open Notepad or any other text editor and paste the copied data. However, instead of directly pasting, use the "Paste Special" option and choose "Values" to paste only the values without any formatting or hidden row issues. In most text editors, you can do this by right-clicking and selecting "Paste Special" or by using the Ctrl+Shift+V shortcut.

By following these steps, you should be able to copy and paste your Excel data into Notepad or other text editors without encountering the double row issue. The copied text will be in a single row format, and any merged cells or hidden rows will not affect the pasted result.
