Converting hours:minutes to minutes

Thanks in advance.&nbsp; I can't find how to convert 2:55 to minutes.&nbsp; I'm designing a data collection sheet and i have figured out how to deduct the start time from the finish time to give an elapsed time formatted as 2:55.&nbsp; How do I convert this to 175 minutes?

Use this formula and format it as General:=E5*24*60

BBBC1980&nbsp;If, for some reason, you choose not to rely upon the knowledge that times and durations are represented as fractions of a day, you could use the longer formula= 60*HOUR(Duration) + MINUTE(Duration)
