Converting Excel table data into calendar using pivot table
Hi all,
Our organization has a long list of upcoming conferences and we're trying to display that in a more calendar-view within Excel. On this thread, many others have the same question and one user offers spreadsheet templates as solutions, but never actually explains how to create this type of pivot table. I have tried to replicate their template but am apparently missing a step (or multiple).
Can anyone spell out the steps it takes to turn this table of dates into a calendar like the templates in the first response to this thread? The added challenge for me is that my dates have different start and end dates, and I would like for the event to display across all dates it's happening. So if's from January 1-3, I want it to appear on the calendar for January 1, 2, and 3. I'm happy to add more cells with all dates if I need to. Once I can create the correct pivot table with the calendar view output, I can make edits from there as needed.
I really just need help understanding how to get from the table to the calendar to begin with. If someone can type out the steps, that would be really helpful as I want to use this method in other areas of my work as well.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Hi,
Is attached what you want?
You can change the Month in cell F5 to update dates and events.
Someone shared some Excel formulas he watched on youtube to create a dynamic calendar in below post and I adjusted his template for you.
