convert cell w/formula of: =MOD(F12-E12,1), which is 6:45 to dec. of 6.45 to figure hrs
how to convert a cell which has formula of: =MOD(F12-E12,1), which answer was 6:45. I need it to be a decimal of 6.45 so I can pay on hours

Use =MOD(F12-E12,1)*24 and format the result cell as Number. The formula returns a time value (fraction of a day), so multiplying by 24 converts it to decimal hours. Note that 6:45 equals 6.75 hours, not 6.45, because 45 minutes is 45/60 = 0.75. If needed, use =ROUND(MOD(F12-E12,1)*24,2) to round to two decimal places.
