Conditional formatting using formula IF

I need conditional formatting if A1not equal to B1, then C1 to be an orange colour ( column A and B are dates)

any help appreciated

    Hello Ramin,

     

    Please do the following steps:

    • Select column C entirely so that the cell C1 is the active cell.
    • Go to Home >> Styles >> Conditional Formatting >> New Rule
    • From the New Rule dialog box select Use a formula...
    • In the formula box put this formula: =A1<>B1
    • Click Format button to select the color and then hit OKs.
