Conditional formatting - color bars based on values in other cells
Hi guys, How would I apply color bar formatting to a range of cells, with that formatting based on the value of a different range of cells? I have several cells containing text, and I w...

GEEK_21Thanks, I'm not familiar with that suite, but it sounds like that function will count how many cells are of a particular color. If that's what it does I don't think that will help me - I need to conditionally color cells based on a number, not count how many cells are already of a particular color. Could you please clarify how that function would help if I was to buy the tool suite?

GregP997 No, it works with the colour of the cell and for your case I think you will have to associate it with the function if
- GregP997Mar 14, 2023Copper ContributorOK well I'm not really sure how to do any of that. I've never used or heard of that function or tool suite, and don't know how it would need to associate with the IF function to get the result I want. Perhaps you could provide an example of what I'd need to do please?

if the font color of cell A1 is red and its value is equal to or more than 10 so B2 displays "good" and if its value is less than 10 then it displays "false".
- GregP997Mar 14, 2023Copper ContributorThanks but as I said that's not the behavior I'm looking for. As I said, I am wanting Excel to color the cells for me based on a value in a different cell, they won't already be in a particular color. Otherwise I could just manually highlight the cells with whatever color I wanted and that would be the end of it. I'm just trying to use conditional formatting rather than shading them all manually.
