Column numbers with text
I want to fill column with next+1 cmd
A1 K101
A2 K102
A3 K103 etc
Formular
A4 A3+1
A5 A4+1
A6 A5+1 etc
answer should be
A1 - A6 K101 - K106
A1+1 Function does not handle Text in the next +1 function

- Btw, assuming A1 contains K101 then if you just select cell A1 and then click and hold the fill handle (bottom right corner of the cell) and drag it down, the number will be automatically incremented and you don't need any formula for that.

just want to use the A1+1 down the column with text contents
value in A1 is K101 the value in A2 should be K102 an so forth
value in A1544 should be K1544 - can't add mixed text and numbers?
I don't like forums I need direct answers Jdanteague@att.netYou will probably need a custom counter, the alphanumeric is not incremented that way. Alphanumerically, it would have to count up from A1 K101 to A1 K102 and not A2 K102.
In the attached file there are some examples,
but I am almost sure that this is not what you are looking for.
With your permission, add a file (without sensitive data),
explain on the basis of this file what exactly you want to accomplish.
So you get a proposed solution that suits your needs.
