Column headings
Until very lately I have been able to key column headings with daily dates for the week (or month) just at top of THREE columns, then select bottom-right corner of last date, and Excel would fill in ...
Select File > Options > Advanced.
Make sure that the check box "Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop" is ticked.
