Changing Names and Color for Drop Down Items

Hello.

I DLed a great project tracker that I want to modify. When you select a status from the DD list, it will change the color of the row.

 

However, I lose color coordination whenever I change the name (manually, through name manager). OR I can change the color, but the name change doesn't associate.

 

In both instances, the row turns white (no color). ANY help is greatly appreciated.

As you can see, the drop-down choices in the Status column color coordinate with the legend at the top. Whenever I try to change the name or color, it unlinks. HELP!!

    bridoc94 Found this particular template in the MS gallery. The colours at the top are no more than just that, coloured cells. The colours in the task rows are set by conditional format and "hard coded" into the rules. I.e "Not started" gets blue, "In progress" gets orange etc. There is no link between the colours or the key words in the legend and the ones in the task rows. If you want that, you need to create a new set of rules for the legend, using the same colour for the same key word.
