Changing multiplier based on cell value

I'm creating a registration form where you state which days you have attended a course. Based on this, the participant receives points according to the number of courses he/she has attended. The employee receives 1 point per course, but from the fourth course onwards the employee receives 2 points per course. This shall not affect the points awarded for courses 1-3.

A number one is put in column B for participation on that date and in column C the calculation should be. There will be one sheet per month in addition to a summary sheet where you can see the total. I have tried to use the IF function where it adds up, but it does not take into account the first three courses which should only have one point per participation.

Can anyone help me please?

See if you can apply the example from the attached workbook. It's not very fancy and can surely be optimized with more advanced techniques and using some functions that only exist in newer Excel functions.

      Thank you.

I just found out from my boss that the points system will be different and that it only applies to participation on weekends. An employee who completes a course on a Saturday gets 4 points, on a Sunday gives 6 points. The points change when an employee has attended more than 7 courses. So from the eighth course, participation on a Saturday will give 5 points and participation on a Sunday will give 7 points. There's one sheet per month, so the formula must take all sheets into account so that the summary on the total sheet is correct. Please see the attached file.

Sorry that I've given the wrong information in the first post, I unfortunately had too little information.

Hope you have a chance to have a look on this again, it's really appreciated!
