changing cell total colour

Hello all. Im fairly new to Excel. In my document i have a cell that totals a minus sum (e.g $-200.00) I would like the colour of that sum to be colour red automatically and then turn back to black ...

cuckooca Use Conditional Formatting. Select the range of cells where they may be negative, click Conditional Formatting on the ribbon/Highlight cell ruls/Less than 0 and choose the Fill and/or Font color as you wish (you can take their defaut Light Red Fill with Dark Red Text font).
