Change Default Browser in Which Hyperlinks Open

You have to consider using a URL redirection extension in Chrome, such as Redirector, which can override Windows' behavior for opening certain links.
by the way, i am not using excel in the browser. i am using a desktop licence. it should be possible to do it without using a chrome extension since this was never required before it randomly switched to opening the links in Edge recently.
Did you ever find a resolution to this? I am having the same issues.
My solution ? I uninstalled Microsoft Edge
Yes, for me, the issue was caused by the installation of Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader. Somehow it overrode my default app (Chrome) for opening PDFs and switched it to Edge. Uninstalling Adobe Reader fixed it.
