cell fill color

I have a new install of office. In Excel I can not fill cells with a color.

You can use Fill Color in the Home tab

This is strange. Kindly open a NEW workbook and apply Fill Color.. Do let me know whether the problem is still the same

  I have opened several NEW workbooks and the Fill Color function does not work since I installed Windows 11 - it always worked in the 20 years I used Excel in all previous Windows versions.

    That could be accessibility option settings Fill Color Doesn't Display (Microsoft Excel) (tips.net), not sure where they are for Windows 11.
