Can't save large excel files onto a shared work folder.

I've been unable to save large (10,000KB+) files to a shared work folder. I am working remotely and using a VPN. When I try to save the file out, it gives me a "Not Saved" error, and then saves a blank version of the excel file with the same name, and 0kb file size into the folder, along with a temp file with the true file size into the same folder.

 

Any idea what the issue is? I tried opening the file in safe mode and then saving it out, but that was not helpful. I can also save large files to my own personal folders with no issues.

    Some shared drives and network storage systems can have file path length limitations of 256 characters, meaning that if the full path (including folders, subfolders, and filename) exceeds this limit, saving the file might fail.
