Can't edit charts - all options greyed out

- Well I managed to find a solution - I copied all the tabs from my original workbook into a new workbook, and I could then edit the charts. Still don't know what caused the original problem, but putting up this solution for anyone who faces the same issue in future
I was having the same issue, and, after comparing the setting between a broken and functioning worksheet, I noticed I had objects set to be hidden. Once I changed this to 'All', the chart options were no longer grayed out. I attached a screenshot with the setting that needed to be changed in the highlighted box.
