Cannot open or read recovered excel file, any recommended repair software?
We have a client that deleted an excel (xlsx) workbook from their desktop before they had actually filed it, we have managed to recover the file using two different file recovery softwares which both indicated that the file integrity was good and the file size seemed about right but we are unable to open the workbook at all.
Does anybody know of some excel recovery software that might do the job, we tried a couple of commercial ones on a trial but they did not seem to work?
- If you change the extension of the file to .zip, can it be opened with e.g. Winzip or 7-zip?
